Project 55
An inter-disciplinary art project, Project 55 is a purely voluntary and open to any artistic souls at Purdue. The idea was to get multiple students to design one or two playing cards each, and get a deck printed for each of the involved designers (52 playing cards + 2 Jokers + 1 logo).

Who, now?
Project 55 is an independent collaborative art project for Purdue students. I started, managed and designed for the project. It began in Febuary 2014 and finished in April 2014.

Project 55, you said?
The idea was to have students collaborate a design one or two playing cards each, for a total of 55 designs. The sign ups and submissions were done completely online. The production of the decks was crowd funded through GoFundMe.com. All the participants paid $2 each to cover the remainder cost.

Why did this happen?
The purpose of this project was to let the students have fun. I wasn't selective or critical of the designs just because of that reason. It was meant to let every student hone their talent and run with it. And this has got good results! Some cards are intricately drawn, some are witty, some that are beautifully colored and other that have just two colors work magic.
